the differences and similarities in the economic and political contexts that the 13 colonies and the Hong Kong colony faced

The differences in the economic that the 13 colonies and the Hong Kong colony are the 13 colonies have no free trade but Hong Kong is a free port; the similarities in the economic is both of their elder person need to hand in the tax to the government.
The similarities in the political is both of them have government, no absolute power and have stamp act in both the 13 colonies and the Hong Kong colony; the different in the political is the U.S.A. is a country but Hong Kong is a part of China so that Hong Kong needs to listen to the China's government.

Carmel, the Hong Kong colony didn't need to listen to Beijing; it's the Hong Kong S.A.R. that needs to listen to their northern leaders!
